Michael G. Tucker

Michael G. Tucker began his carrier with Westinghouse Broadcasting in1979 as the Advertising Sales Manager for Group W Cable Dearborn Michigan.

Westinghouse Broadcasting was the nation’s largest cable operator during this time. Michael was responsible for start up and management of this Advertising Sales Operation.

Michael hired and managed over a dozen personnel for this department, including clerical, technical, sales, production, creative and executive. His responsibilities were to develop and implement the marketing strategies for the selling of advertising space on national cable programs such as ESPN, CNN, MTV, BET, TNN, CTN and several other emerging cable networks.

By 1981, Michael’s marketing strategies and sales efforts for the Dearborn operation exceeded the financial expectations of Westinghouse’s Group W Cable division and he was promoted to Regional Advertising Manger. He was responsible for the start up of several other operations in the Michigan region. Michael reported directly to the National Sales Manager of Westinghouse Broadcasting.

In 1982 Michael was promoted to consult, assist and implement any necessary changes that were needed with various Westinghouse Group W Cable Ad Sales operations around the country by implementing the successful business model that was created for the Dearborn operation.

In 1983 Michael founded Cable Connection Advertising, a company specializing in the creation and placement of cable adverting. Group W Cable remained a client for several years until Westinghouse sold the cable division.

By 1990 Cable Connection outgrew the name, as many customers sought out additional advertising and marketing services. The name was changed to Media Connection Advertising Inc.

For over 25 years, Media Connection Advertising has been a full-service Advertising and Marketing Agency.
